2014 Tokeneke Classic

The 2014 Edition of the Tokeneke Classic road bike race took place yesterday in Northwestern Connecticut. The race consists of an extremely hilly 22 mile loop around the upper Barkhamsted Reservoir starting in East Hartland. Most categories complete multiple laps of the loop making this one of the most grueling one day races in New England. The pro men’s race was won by Brendan Rhim of New Hampshire (who had also recently won the New Britain Criterium). The pro women’s race ended in a sprint finish which was won by Stephanie Wetzel of the Colavita women’s team.
